Whatever the doctors have told you, whatever the statistics say, whatever the prognosis is — the God who holds the universe together is not limited by them. God asked Abraham this question when Sarah laughed at the promise of a child in her old age. It is a rhetorical question — and its answer is no. Nothing is too hard for the LORD. Not your diagnosis. Not your prognosis. Not the condition the doctors have no treatment for. Nothing is beyond Him.
Lord God Almighty, I come before You today with a need that is beyond what medicine can address. The doctors have said what they can say. The treatments have done what they can do. And I am still here, still sick, still in need of something that only You can provide. So I come to You — not as a last resort, but as the One I should have come to first and the One I am most desperate to encounter now.
I believe in miracles. I believe in them because Your Word is full of them. I believe in them because You are not a historical God who worked powerfully in the past and has since retreated into passivity. You are the living God. You are Jehovah Rapha — the LORD who heals — and that name is not past tense. I believe You can do what no physician can do. I believe You can reverse what disease has done. I believe You can speak a word and everything changes.
So I ask for that word, Lord. Speak healing into this body. Let Your creative power — the same power that spoke the world into existence — speak restoration into these cells, these organs, these systems. Let what medical knowledge says is impossible become a testimony to Your glory and Your love. Let the doctors be astonished. Let everyone who hears the story know that only God could have done this.
I ask boldly, Lord, because You told me to ask boldly. Matthew 7:7 says ask and it will be given. Luke 18 says pray and do not give up. I am asking. I am not giving up. I believe that You hear me and that You are able.
And Lord — I also open my hands. I pray this prayer of faith while simultaneously surrendering the outcome to Your perfect knowledge of all things. You know the end from the beginning. You know what is best for me and for everyone who loves me, in ways I cannot comprehend. So I trust You. If You choose to heal miraculously, I will praise You. If You choose a different path, I will still praise You — though it will be much harder, and I am honest about that. But my faith is not in the outcome. My faith is in You.
Work a miracle, Lord. I believe You can. I believe You might. And I trust that whatever You do, You are good. In the powerful name of Jesus, Amen.
Lord, with man this is impossible. But with God all things are possible. Do the impossible. Heal me. Amen.
